Vocational Education:- Vocational education is the education which creates employability in the candidate.
Objective:-
1).Considering the growth in industrialization, changing technology, social and economic changes, short-term vocational courses should be created for the students who have dropped out of education as well as for the students with special education (add-on courses) which are necessary in order to promote employment and self-employment of such students. Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education Examination was established in the year 1986 under the auspices of the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training to meet the need of Vocational Education.
2).Poor students from villages in various parts of the state are taking admission in institutions and completing training. And the students who complete the training appear for the examination conducted by the board. The students who pass the examination are given a certificate by the board on behalf of the government. The Board's courses are a boon for promoting employment and self-employment, especially for dropouts.
3).On behalf of the Government of Maharashtra under the Maharashtra State Vocational Education Examination Board from the academic year 2020-21 according to the educational qualifications of various groups, a total of 152 courses of 6 months duration, 96 courses of 1 year duration and 44 courses of 2 years duration totaling 292 part time and full time courses. are implemented.
